P E R S O N A L:
W. I. P. PROJECTS
CAIN - 2009
Tools: 3ds max, Zbrush, Vray, Photoshop
This project has quite a story to it... I started it out to test Zbrush once again after a long period of being a dedicated Mudbox user. What's interesting is that i quickly got addicted to the flexibility of Zbrush and decided to turn this into a serious project. THE REALLY CRAZY story behind it is that I was forcing my computer to render this and Windows crashed, and killed my whole hard drive (unbelievable!!!), and since then the evolution curve of this project has really flatlined.
This character has a strong relation to the design of the borg. |

BLACK MOUNTAIN 2007/2008
For the past two years, every summer (in between university years) I have joined the capable team of Stuttgart based Black Mountain VFX for some of the most fun projects I've worked on so far. While I was on the team I was tasked with modelling, and small lighting and shading tasks. PROJECTS i worked on at BM: ZAIN, LASSA, CHIO Chips, VISA commercial, Gugubo,
263 FILMS 2006-2007
The Dear Anne Project was an eye opener for me. It was the place where I met people that loved doing cg and it was also the place where I made a lot of very good firends. It's too bad I was not allowed to show any of the work I did there. For almost 8 months I worked as a character artist, modeling realistic human figures. It was a real learning opportunity. I wish all work places could be so art oriented.
FREELANCE
Here you'll be able to see various freelance projects I've done over the years. Each project is described in the image frame.

Borg - 2008
Tools: 3ds max, Mudbox, Mentalray, Photoshop
This guy was born when I was working in Germany at Black Mountain; summer 2008. I wanted to see how far I could go with Mudbox on inorganic forms and was quite satisfied with how Mudbox 1 can handle these surfaces and volumes. Right now the last render i have put here gives the character a feeling of disporportion, this is because of the hands. I never really got to work on this project seriously and put all the things in the right places, but I'll pick it back up soon enough... |
Morbid Silence - Supliciul - 2009
Tools: 3ds max, Mudbox, Mentalray, Photoshop
This character is a depiction of how superficial(physical) and profound(spiritual) pain can cause someone to change to the point of destruction/mutilation. I also thought that just like the phoenix that rises from it's ashes, my character is reborn from within, the bright yellow color on his hands and abdomen is a symbol for a newer, better self. I'm conscious I didn't manage to fully explain this concept with my image, but it's what I was thinking about when I made this. |
Titan's Defeat(+older works) - 2003
Tools: 3ds max
This character was modelled with splines and it's the first character I won a cgtalk award with. Since then, school and other things have kept me busy from being able to do something with as much passion as I remember doing this when i was 17 years old.
To view the older works, just keep pressing next after the Titan images are done. |
Architecture works 2004-2009
Tools: 3ds max, Vray, Mentalray, Photoshop, my trusty cutter
A few image from the projects I've been working on for University. For some reason I never REALLY finish any of these images, either because I have 10 other things to do for school or because my computer burns to the ground, but I like what they have to say, so this is why they are here. |
The Sketchbook 2007-2009
Tools: 3ds max,XSI, Mudbox, Mentalray, Vray, Photoshop
Everyone has a sketchbook, so do I :). All my little experiments go here, where there isn't time for a serious project, there always is for a little doodle. |
